Fun Dog Treat Enrichment
One of Mabel’s favorite things to do is rip up paper and boxes. When I’m not recycling cardboard from supplies I received for the shop, I use unbleached parchment paper. It only takes a few minutes to assemble this enrichment fun for my best, good girl.
Mabel’s Rippy Skippy Dog Treat Enrichment
Ingredients
Outward Hound Slow Feeder Bowl—I’ve had mine forever. Gavin loved to lick peanut butter from it, but this one is similar.
Parchment Paper—I use six to ten pieces, depending on what we’ve done earlier that day.
Bark Pouch Peanut Butter & Blueberry Dog Treats—A few dollops, plus she gets her licking, chewing, and ripping needs met.
Vital Essentials Dog Food—I love using high-quality food for Mabel’s low-value treat needs.
Hair-On Rabbit Ear—Once my vegetarian self made peace with hair-on chews, they’ve done wonders for her gut health.
The Process
Start with a clean and dry feeder bowl. Put a nibbly treat, or two or three, on each piece of paper. Roll up the paper into the crevices. Top with a few squeezes from your dog(s)’ pouch. Then, put a rabbit ear on top.
That’s it. Easy peasy peanut butter and blueberry squeezy.
