I believe in supporting other businesses that deeply care about their customers. As a discerning and devoted dog mom, I can’t live without the below products.
West Paw
I first fell in love with West Paw after I adopted Gavin and realized he was way younger than the rescue thought and needed way more toys than Finn’s hand-me-downs. If Gavin didn’t get out his frustration on his Bumi tug toy (which is still in great shape ten years later), he’d bite my butt on walks. You try telling a fellow pedestrian your dog is friendly after they witness him chomp your backend.
Gavin’s West Paw toys have withstood hours of play and are eco-friendly, non-toxic, and responsibly made. Plus, if you’re anything like me, you’ll likely get the biggest kick out of making creative treat concoctions for your dog(s)’ Toppls, which to me, are way easier to clean than other food-stuffed toys.
Dog Is Good
I met the owner, Gila Kurtz, many years ago at a dog training conference. She and I were trying to save money on the hotel, so we took a chance rooming with a stranger. We hit it off so well that we roomed together the following year.
Like me, Gila subsequently fell in love with making and selling dog products. However, she creates apparel, accessories, gifts, and more. Cute and flattering t-shirts with catchy phrases like “Never Drink Alone” and “I Like Big Mutts”? A coffee mug that reminds me every morning with Gavin nestled next to me, that “dog is love”? Yes, please!
Why I love Dog is Good. Gila and her husband Jon run their business with honesty, integrity, exceptional service, and positivity. Plus, they give back to the community in big ways. Their list of charitable partners is long, like really long.
